I really have no idea what to do my father was just diagnosed with this 2 days ago after almost a year of thinking it was different things. I'm 17 and i have an 8 year old sister and a 10 year old sister. My fathers only 46 and i dont know what to expect. I'm afraid that my sisters are going to grow up without their father truly being there, and I'm afraid hes going to be a completely different person within the next few years. How did you make it through this? What do i need to watch out for? Makes me wonder if there is an effect of either statins directly, or of low cholesterol, on the long-term integrity of neuronal cell membranes. I'm going to check out Dr Duane's website and look around the literature for more on this. I am a writer and thinking about creating an article on Lewy Body and any new thinking in this area.<BR/>My father was not taking a statin by the way--his only chronic medication was Prilosec and I am not sure about Dr Graboys. (his web site is reflective of the fact that he is a trained astronaut as well as an MD).
